Intellectual Airhead vs. Pure Innocence

This episode hit me hard because I see so much of myself in Kento; I also tend to lack that kind of empathy.

While Kento’s character might seem annoying at first, some people are just wired that way. It might look like a lack of cognitive empathy, but in reality, they are just speaking their truth based on a sense of 'intellectual purity.' They genuinely believe their own knowledge is the gold standard for common sense.

To an outsider, Kento-kun might seem 'difficult' or 'high-maintenance,' but I found his character incredibly pure and cute. That look of genuine bewilderment on his face when he asked, 'Wait, you don't wash your towels every day?' was priceless!

His straightforward nature makes me want to see more of him—it even makes me want to choose him as a partner. Even though he can be oblivious to the mood and sounds slightly snarky at times, that’s exactly what makes him so endearing. Even when he scolds her in that cold voice for playing with her food, it might sound unfriendly to some, but I found it hilarious!

In contrast, Imae-kun is pure and innocent in a completely different way, separate from intellect. He has this 'innocent' aura that makes you want to stay by his side and protect him from being teased. His pure kindness is so healing—he is truly precious.

But, if I had to pick, Kento is definitely my choice!
Do you also find yourself relating to his 'intellectual purity,' or are you more like Imae-kun?
