🥬 [KOTTY RIDER] Saving the world with a radish: Shotengai Grand Rion 🏍️💓

Hi everyone... 🌿

I finally received the Blu-ray a few days ago, and I really wanted to share the Shotengai Grand Rion (商店街グランドリオン) stageplay with you all. It stars my dear, beloveddddddd Matsumoto Kota 💖✨ and was produced by Gekidan Balus Kitchen.

It’s such a charming, high-energy comedy. It’s set in a regular shopping district but blends in these quirky fantasy elements. Our dear Kotty 💌 plays Kouta Kawakami, a simple vegetable shop clerk who somehow gets swept up in a quest for a legendary sword called the "Grand Rion" to defeat a Demon King. Since he’s a greengrocer, his "weapon" of choice is actually a radish (daikon)! 🥬 It really showcases his perfect comedic timing and that earnest stage presence that makes him so special 💘.

The "Hero-Wanna-Be" Pattern 🎭💖

For those who follow Kota, you know his big dream is to be a real superhero. It’s so sweet how he often lands these "hero-wanna-be" roles instead of a literal caped crusader. We saw it in Koi suru Anti-Hero (where he starred alongside Tomioka Kento! 💓) playing a low-level combatant, and this play carries a similar vibe. It’s like the universe is teasing him by letting him save the day with vegetables instead of high-tech gadgets! He’s just so precious 💓.

(On a personal note, I’m actually quite sad because I lost the HDD where I kept my files for "Koi suru Anti-Hero." I really wish I’d uploaded it when I had the chance... it feels like such a loss. 😔)

Embodying the Rider Spirit 🏍️💗

Even though this was staged last year, it feels like a lovely precursor to him passing the Kamen Rider Certificate for all four eras (Showa, Heisei Phase 1 & 2, and Reiwa). Watching him wield a radish like a sword feels like his own "unofficial" debut. Kota doesn’t just watch Kamen Rider; he really studies the "heart" of what it means to be a hero. He brings that "never give up" Tokusatsu attitude to the stage so beautifully 💕✨.

I honestly wish with all my heart that his dream of becoming a real Kamen Rider comes true one day. He deserves it so much! 🥺🙏💖🏁
